TAXPAYERS BEWARE! We have received several calls from clients advising us that they have been receiving calls from "The IRS" warning them that they are going to take "LEGAL ACTION", that it is "URGENT", and there is some kind of discrepancy. The calls have all been from California and today a client wrote down the number and provided it to me: 415-484-8341. When we called and tried to confirm if they were the IRS they hung up on us.
DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION.
THEY LIKELY WANT BANK ACCOUNT/CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. They are able to obtain taxpayer information from publicly filed Federal Tax Liens. If you receive such a call, call us and we will take care of it for you!
