SALES TAX HOLIDAY FOR HUNTERS

The Louisiana Department of Revenue has issued a release reminding buyers and sellers about the annual 3-day Second Amendment Weekend Sales Tax Holiday for individuals' purchases of eligible firearms, ammunition, and hunting supplies. The 2011 holiday begins at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, September 2 and ends at midnight on Sunday, September 4. During the holiday, eligible purchases are exempt from Louisiana state and local sales and use taxes. La. Dept. Rev. Release, 08/25/2011.
